Scripture Verse for Today

     Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Acts 20:21)

      The same gospel reaches all.  Since there is only one Savior, there is only one gospel.  All religions, other that Christianity, are false and misleading.  That is not being narrowed minded; but rather, that is being honest.  Paul would witness to the Jews and tell them that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ; he would tell the gentiles the same.

      He preached repentance and faith.  Repentance is turning from sin; faith is turning to the Lord Jesus Christ.  To really trust in Jesus as Savior, one must repent of his sins and readily forsake them.  If one who is a professor of salvation continues in sin that is a good sign the he is only a professor.    ~
