Scripture Verse for Today

     But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  (Acts 1:8)

      Jesus orders his followers, “Ye shall be witnesses.”  Every child of God, not just preachers and teachers, is commissioned to do his, or her, part in telling this world about the Savior.  A witness is one who has experienced something.  If you have had the life-changing experience of salvation, the Lord wants you to tell others.

      The anointing to be an effective witness comes from the Holy Ghost.  At the moment of our salvation the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts, takes up His abode with us, and empowers us to carry on the ministry of our Lord.

      The order of our witnessing is simple: Start at home, and go to the uttermost part of the earth.    ~
