An Upward Look

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Scripture Verse for Today

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.  (Isaiah 64:8)

The potter works with the soft clay in his hands.  He shapes and reshapes until the clay become exactly what he has envisioned.  With pride he beholds his work; his dream has now become a reality.

Our Heavenly Father is our potter and we are his clay.  He wants to mold us into His glorious plan, but many times we stubbornly resist him.  We want to go our own way and do our own thing.  That gets us into lots of trouble.  If we would just yield to God’s will, we could avoid many heartaches and be blessed abundantly.

Let’s be clay in our potter’s hands today and be amazed at what He can do through us!     ~
