June 26 Scripture Verse for
Today
And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so
that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti. (Esther 2:17)
Things happen for a reason. Through a series of incidents a young Jewish slave girl is promoted
to queen. Little did Esther know when she was chosen by the king how God would use her later to save the
Jewish nation from destruction and death. There are no accidents
with God. If you are promoted, do not be lifted up with pride and think it was all your doings.
Your talents, as well as beauty, are given to you from the Lord for a purpose. Today the Lord may
put you in a position so you may influence the lives of others around you. Though you may not yet understand
why, be yielded to the Lord today. ~
