O to be a friend of God!  Abraham was called a “friend of God.”  David, God’s friend, testified that the Lord delivered him out of all his trouble.  It is wonderful to know that when we are in desperate straits we have a deliverer.  Do you remember the times when you were sinking in the quicksand of Satan, the Lord reached down, lifted you up, set your feet on solid ground, and established your goings?

     On the other hand, David had seen the Lord’s judgment upon his enemies.  God’s judgment is devastating.  He has put down kings and kingdoms.  No one is able to resist His power.

     Praise the Lord He is our friend, not our enemy!     ~
